Generation Always On (AO) I find to be some truth to the argument, given that it addresses issues on both sides of the argument. I do believe that there are significant pros to being a technology advanced society, and especially used within the world of academia. There are also benefits to having, not necessarily a less advanced society, but a society where there is emphasis on in person human interactions and value placed in silence. I know I personally was late to the social media frenzy due to financially not being able to afford the latest computer or being able to afford a smart phone until I had graduated and was a young professional. I have now been an avid IPhone user for just over 2 years and I can certainly say it has been very useful in keeping me on time and organized with everything I have going on in life. I also can see some of the so called positives to having social media sites such as twitter and Instagram. These are only two of the most popular ways in which are world stays interconnected. I can see how twitter and help advocate and provide world news on a quicker basis then regular news broadcasts. These social sites are able to proved a multi generational international society. This can allow for students to have access to an updated world and stay connected to what is happening internationally. For advertisement and the selling of products, both these sites have the potential to increase business. There are numerous ways in which a generation that is “always on” will be able to provide a more connected international world.
I, Kyle Simkovich am only a mere human being striving to fulfill the plans that the Divine has set before me. The passions I have been blessed with are apparent in my life.
